Writers Block: Used Book Haul

   Hey everyone, just thought I would share some books I got at the used book store today. I got some really great books for some really awesome prices!

    This is a memoir written by Augusten Burroughs, it was published in 2002. This is a memoir about Augustens childhood which was changed forever when his mentally ill mother gives her unorthodox psychiatrist custody of him. It tells about his life living with a bizarre family and befriending of a pedophile that lived in the back yard shed.

  This is a memoir written by Elie Wiesel and translated by Marion Wiesel, it was published in 1955. Elie was a teenager when he and his family were taken from there home and brought to a Auschwitz concentration camp and then taken to Buchenwald. This book is the memories of Elie and the death of his family and the loss of his innocence during the holocaust. His wife translated his story for the world to read.

  This is a novel written by Yann Martel and it was published in 2001. This novel is about a zookeepers son named Pi. His family and animals are moving to North America from India aboard a Japanese cargo ship. When the ship sinks pi is stranded on a boat with a zebra, orangutan, hyena and a 450 pound bengal tiger. After the tiger picks off the other animals on the boat Pi has to use his knowledge and cunning to keep himself alive.

This is the last book I picked up it is a novel by Cecil Castellucci and was published in 2005. This book is about a girl named Egg, she named herself that after her favorite heroine out of the scifi movie Terminal Earth. She always knows the right answers, and is always in control. She can't be bothered with friends never mind the opposite sex. She's boy proof.
