Hey there everyone I apologize for the lack of posts I should be doing more soon though because I got a few new products I need to do reviews on. Anyways back to the topic of this post, I have been searching for a good lasting cheap lip stain for a while now. The first one i tried was by Maybelline and it was absolutely terrible and I mean like dried out within five hours of opening it terrible. So I was browsing in rite aid one day and stumbled upon these lip stains by New York Color. I have used cosmetics by the brand a few times but haven't been that impressed with it other then their lipsticks. So since they were only $4.99 a piece I decided to just wing it and try one, and am I glad that I did.
These lip stains are great they have long lasting color and don't dry out my lips to bad even though they are a lip stain so they are going to either way. The packaging basically looks like a magic marker and so does the tip so at first I was a little hesitant thinking it would be a pain to apply. I was wrong about that because the marker tip is soft and flexible making the application a breeze. They are pretty well pigmented and as for the 16 hour lasting time in reality it lasts only about 4 before fading and will be gone by six hours. So if your looking for something that will last you all night this isn't for you, but since I only am going to be wearing it for work and being out and about the lasting power is fine with me. They do have an odd scent though its almost like they tried to make it smell nice and fruity but failed and it kind of has that magic marker scent to it which isn't unbearable but to pleasant to say the least. All in all though the scent doesn't stay on your lips so it doesn't really bother me. So for being only $4.99 I find this to be a wonderful product and I defiantly recommend you pick some colors up to try I will put swatches of the ones I have below.
