Favorite Products of 2011

Hey everyone I decided to do this post sharing my most loved and used products of 2011. I will be including both high end and low end products. I will put links to where you can purchase all of the products at the end of the post. I would love it if you would share your favorite products in the comments or link to a post you made about them because I always like to try new things!

I've only been using this concealer by Almay for the last month of 2011 but by far it is one of the best concealers i've ever used. It is called the Clear Complexion Concealer. It gives medium to full coverage and is a liquid formula so it doesn't cake up when applied on acne spots or blemishes. Plus the salicylic acid in it controls the problem spot from getting worse while the concealer sell covers it. As long as there is a powder over it this will last all day. It will only last a couple hours without a powder on top.

This is the Healthy Wear Translucent Pressed Powder by Physicians Formula. This is actually supposed to be a powder foundation but since it is translucent it gives absolutely no coverage. This is a great product to set your concealer or foundation with though because of the products thickness it keeps you from having to apply a large amount causing that white mask look on your face. It doesn't really have a scent so thats good and it has SPF 50 in it so it protects your skin from UV rays.

My favorite Powder blush this year so far is Mac Cosmetics blush in Melba. It is a matte peach tone blush and looks really natural on my skin tone. Since I have a more yellow skin tone peach blushes look more natural on me then pinks or reds do. This blush is highly pigmented so a little goes a long way.

Again this is a product that i've only tried in the last month but it has quickly became my favorite drugstore blush by far. It is a cream texture that blends almost seamlessly with the skin. The color I have is in Peach Satin, it has a slight shimmer to it but its more of a glow since there is no actually sparkle in the product itself.

My favorite highlight this year and it was last year as well is Mac Cosmetics Mineralized Skin Finish in Perfect Topping. It gives a light shimmer with no chunky glitter so it looks natural. Plus they last literally forever i've had mine for a year and haven't even flattened the dome.

My favorite drugstore highlight would have to be the all over color stick by elf in Golden Peach, it has subtle shimmer and being a cream product blends easily. Plus it only costs $1.00 so I mean you can't beat that!

This by far is the best eyeshade primer I have ever used, it is the Urban Decay Primer Potion. It keeps your eyeshadow from creasing and helps your shadows colors stand out and last all day long.

This is the best eyeshadow pallet I have ever used or owned, It is the Naked pallet by Urban Decay. It is filled with neutrals and has twelve eyeshadows and two of them are matte. The rest are either shimmer or glitter finish, these eyeshadows are extremely pigmented and amazing to work with. I think these will forever be my favorite go to eyeshadows.

My favorite drugstore eyeshadows would have to be the trios by Sally Hanson. They are well coordinated colors, highly pigmented and blend well. Plus they are pretty good sized eyeshadows for the price.

I got this eyeliner in a set that I received for christmas,it is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Cream Eyeliner in Black. This by far is the best and most pigmented cream eyeliner I have evrer used. It glides on flawlessly and all you have to do is lightly touch the product with the brush. So I'm pretty sure this may last me for months and it hasn't dried at all yet so far.

This cream eyeliner by ELF is the best drugstore cream eyeliner I have ever come across. It is highly pigmented and glides on beautifully. It does dry out after about a month of use but all you have to do is press your finger to the product and the warmth will soften it again. Not to mention you get a ton of product for only $3.00.

This is the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eyeliner Pencil in Zero, it is by far the best eyeliner pencil I have ever used. I'm sure you've seen many posts and videos of people raving about this product and all I can do is agree because it is that wonderful. It is great for the top lash line to add definition to the lashes and it also stays in the waterline beautifully.

This is the Unstoppable Eyeliner by Maybelline I have it in the color white so I don't know about the black but the white is an awesome eyeliner. It stays on the water line like a champ and blends out to a beautiful highlight also.

Lips:

This Lipstick from YSL "which may be the best lipstick Brand ever" is deffinatly my favorite for this year. I have the Rouge Pur Couture in Number 6 which is a rosy nude color. It glides on wonderfully and has great pigmentation and is very moisturizing also. This lipstick comes in a good variety of colors and shades so I plan on defiantly picking up a few more.
This is Revlon's Lip Stick in Pink Pout,it is a matte formula. I love this lipstick because it is one of the only matte formulas I have found that doesn't get or feel drying on my lips. Its a beautiful light pink that in my opinion would look great on any skin tone.

This is the Smooch Proof 16 Hour Lip Stain by NYC Cosmetics. It is my favorite lip stain I have ever tried and it is also one of the cheapest on the market. These are highly pigmented and don't dry out my lips to bad like most stains do, in fact as long as I wear chap stick over top it does't dry them out at all. As for its 16 hour claim it lasts about 6 and then begins to fade, it will wear down faster if you are eating and drinking a lot also. Although for the great price of $5.00 each I can live with the shorter lasting power.

I don't often wear lipgloss but if I do it will most likely be a NYX Mega Shine LipGloss, I have the colors Beige and Golden Pink. They are a long lasting, highly pigmented, non-sticky formula which I love because I have long curly hair that loves to get stuck in my lipgloss anytime i'm wearing any.
