Writers Block: Book Review Running with Scissors by Augusten Burroughs

  This book is a true story about the authors life growing up in a dysfunctional household of his mothers psychiatrist. This book is one that was not easily put down and filled with humor. Some of the things that happen in this book are rather inappropriate so I would only recommend it to people 17 years of age and older. Other then that it is a sad but humorous memoir of a mans troubled life and how he used a sarcastic and humorous way to work his way through it. I would give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars its a great read for those who enjoy true life stories.

Review: Aveeno Pure Renewal Shampoo & Conditioner

  Hey everyone I know I haven't posted in a while I've been super busy this summer but will be back to blogging more regularly from now on. Anyways what this blog is really about is Aveeno's Pure Renewal Line. I saw this and was instantly attracted to it because one I love Aveeno products and two it said sulfate free. I've been wanting to try another sulfate free shampoo but the first one I tried left my hair feeling super greasy and not clean. So I figured since it was by Aveeno I would give it a try. 

  This shampoo claims to be sulfate free and has balancing Seaweed extract and natural cleansers. It says it will leave your hair looking healthier, shinier and full of life. Well that is quite a claim especially for a shampoo so I was suspicious of it at first. I have been using it for a few weeks now and I have to admit that my hair is shiny and clean feeling after using it. Although I have also noticed that I have been having a lot more hair loss then usual so I don't know if that has anything to do with the shampoo or the time of year. So I will get back to you on that, overall I give the shampoo 3.8 out of 5 stars. 

I also tried out the conditioner which claimed to have the same results for your hair. I have also been using this conditioner for a few weeks and I really like it. I have tried Aveeno conditioners in the past and had great results and this was no different. It leaves my hair feeling moisturized and healthy and that takes a lot since its thick and curly. Overall I give this product about 4.3 out of 5 stars.
